Beaufort celebrated its 300th anniversary in 2011. The Spanish, the French and the English all explored this coast. They left a rich history, beautiful antebellum homes, scenic views and friendly local charm. They also left a beautiful location for some iconic movies.
You walk through neighborhoods like The Point, The Bluff and The Old Commons, past tabby homes from before the Civil War and live oaks draped in Spanish moss. You see The Big Chill house and The Castle, where Demi Moore stayed during G.I. Jane.

10:00 AM, Monday to Saturday. Times can change with the season, so check the calendar on the tour page for your date.
How long is the walk?
About two hours, at an easy pace through the historic district. The tour suits all ages. Wear comfortable shoes and bring sunscreen.
Where do we meet?
At the Downtown Marina, 1006 Bay Street, Beaufort, SC 29902, in front of the Marina Store on the Bay Street side. We suggest the marina's pay parking lot.
